What Is Block Time?
Block time is the amount of time it takes the miners to validate transactions within one block and create a new block
Understanding Block Time
The blockchain is a distributed database where each transaction is recorded. Each block contains a record of every transaction that has ever happened within the system. In order to create a new block, miners must solve a mathematical problem. Once solved, the block is added to the chain.
In order to validate the transactions within a block and store them securely, hashing is used. When the block solution has been found, a new block can be created. The length of time to find the block solution and create a new one is called the block time.
Cybits Block Time vs Bitcoin
The block time of Bitcoin is currently set at 10 minutes.
Cybits has a block time of 45 seconds, making sending and receiving super fast
